This guide is aimed at any user who needs to check and/or review the Patient’s allergies.
Please Note: |
- The Patient’s allergy status must be reviewed by clinical staff at every visit |
- Allergies can be added, discontinued and marked as reviewed | |
- Allergies will continue to be recorded in Nursing and Doctor’s paper notes and drug charts | |
- Allergies recorded in PAS will manually be moved across to Sunrise | |
- At go live allergy recording in PAS will be switched off - Departments using Sunrise will be expected to record allergies on Sunrise | |
- Allergies added manually at go live will need to be reviewed and detail added as appropriate |
There are 6 different ways to view the information

With the patient in context, the patient’s allergy status will show on the right hand side of the Patient Banner Or

Click on the ‘chevrons’ in the bottom right corner of the Patient Banner which opens up the lower banner so further information can be seen
|

If an allergy has been recorded, to see the allergy details, click on the ‘View Allergies Summary’ link in the bottom left corner
|

The ‘Allergies/Intolerances Summary View’ pop-up will show with the Patient’s allergies displayed
|
5 |
Double click on an allergy to view the full allergy details
|

With the tab displayed, from the ‘Summary Views’ section on the left hand side of the screen, select the ‘Allergies/Intolerances’ option from the list

The allergy information will be displayed in the main part of the screen

Double click on an allergy to view the full allergy details
