2

Click the ‘Patient List’ tab

3

Click the ‘New Visit List’ icon

4

A window appears with several tabs showing different criteria

5

Depending on your role, complete either the ‘Your Role’ tab (step 5a) or the ‘Providers’ tab (step 5b)

5a

‘Your Role’ tab:

Tick the check box and select ‘Any Role’

5b

‘Providers’ tab:

Search for the Consultant’s name, select from the centre and click ‘Add’ to move them to the bottom of the window

6

On the ‘Location’ tab, select the 3rd radio button ‘Include patients at selected locations only’. Use the + to open ‘MTW NHS Trust’ then the hospital site you require. You can either select individual wards or the whole ‘Inpatients’ to pick up patients from all wards, and click ‘Add’ to move to the right side

On the ‘Visit Status’ tab, untick the first check box and tick the 2nd, ‘List patients with the specified event on the date or date range’. Choose ‘Admitted’ from the dropdown list.

Select ‘Date Range’ and enter “1” into both the From and To fields (1 day ago to 1 day from now)

9

Click OK when all criteria have been added.

Enter a relevant name into the ‘Name’ pop up and click OK to save your patient list

10

The new patient list will be displayed in the ‘Current List’ selection on the Patient Lists so you can access the patients to place orders or check results, etc.

11

All patient lists can be modified using the Modify Visit List icon on the toolbar

You may wish to amend the ‘number of days ago’ on the Visit Status tab.

As patients are discharged from the ward, they will drop off the patient list.
