This guide is for all staff who view test results on a Patient’s record in Sunrise

With the relevant patient selected and displayed in the Patient Banner, click on the ‘Results’ tab

The ‘Options Panel’ on the left hand side of the screen allows the results to be filtered
|

‘This Chart’ will show just results for the current attendance. ‘All Available Charts’ will display all results for all attendances.
GP ordered test results from ICE will be available under ‘All Available Charts’
|

The results can be viewed in four different ways. You can either click the ‘Display View’ icon from the Results tab toolbar and select your preferred view
Or click straight onto your preferred view at the bottom of the ‘Options Panel’ to change the results view (each view will be demonstrated in this guide).

‘Summary’ view is the default view – displays the results in a grid-like view and shows an overview for the selected patient Flags appear in the grid cells to indicate whether results exist for a date. If a cell contains no flag, no results exist for that date. If you double click on a ‘flag’, the ‘Report by Order’ view screen will appear, for you to view more information on the test.

Yellow Flag – indicates that a textual result exists. Red Flag – indicates that one or more abnormal numeric results exist. Green Flag – indicates that numeric results are normal.
If you right click on a ‘flag’, you can select a different view.

‘Report by Order’ view – displays results in a detailed list view. Abnormal results are noted by a red arrow up (high) or down (low)
The sort order can be changed in the options panel

If a comment has been inserted on a result, a ‘+’ icon will display on the comment line for the test. This indicates that there is further information to read.

To view the full comment, click on the ‘+’ icon to open
Once reviewed, click on the ‘Close’ button at the bottom of the window

‘Textual Results’ for Pathology tests, will display a ‘+’ icon on the result line for the test.

To expand the textual result report, click the on the ‘+’ icon to read the text result data
Once reviewed, click on the ‘Close’ button at the bottom of the window

If any of the results have been updated (re-resulted), a ‘H’ icon will display against the test result line. This indicates that there has been a change in the result and will need to be reviewed.

To view any tests that may have been updated (re-resulted), click on the ‘H’ (History) icon and the ‘Updated Results by Received Date’ window will display
Once you have reviewed the updates, click on the ‘Close’ button at the bottom of the window

‘Trend’ view – displays the numeric values across a period. Abnormal results are displayed in red. Arrows indicate whether the result is above or below the normal range.

‘Trend & Graph’ – in the trend view section at the top, click on a test row title to display the data in a graph view in the bottom section
Right click on the graph for more options, including adding data labels (similar to Excel)

Steps 17 – 20 indicate what happens if the update message is received before the initial message due to an issue with the interface between Telepath and Sunrise

To view Radiology images and reports, click on the ‘PACS’ tab This allows the user to view the images for the selected Patient only.

This is an example of how the diagnostic imaging will look in Sunrise under the ‘PACS’ tab -
The toolbar within the PACS tab contains the usual PACS controls, subject to the user’s rights.
The ‘Pop Out’ button will show the PACS display in full screen.

Note - Telepath and PACS will still be available to access as normal via your desktop.
