Household members with Covid symptoms - If you or a household member have the typical Covid symptoms (temperature, cough, loss of taste and/or smell) please DO NOT come to work. Instead make an appointment for a symptomatic PCR swab through the patient portal. You/your household members should then isolate until the result of the PCR swab is known. This guidance applies to all household members including babies and small children. The only exception is where a baby or small child has a temperature within 24-48 hours of a vaccination (any childhood vaccination). The Trust recognises the pressures that frontline staff in clinical areas are under, however we all have a duty to ensure the Trust remains Covid secure and minimise the risk of outbreaks amongst staff on wards. For information on what to do if you or a household member be symptomatic, please see guidance on the Covid Testing pages here. For information on what to do if you are contacted by Track and Trace or you have tested positive for Covid please see the latest information coronavirus page. To be exempted from self isolation if you are contact traced by NHS Track and Trace you will need to complete the Self Isolation Risk Assessment process and complete the Self Isolation Risk Assessment form . If you have tested positive for Covid you and your manager are jointly responsible for completing the Track and Trace questionnaire. This is to try and mitigate the risk of outbreaks.
