Problem:

Unable to remote access a device via SCCM Remote Viewer.  Sometimes the reason is due to the Remote Viewer  not being started.




Solution:


  1. Connect to the device in SCCM, select the 'Monitoring' option in the bottom left of the window:




2. In the 'Overview' section above select 'CM Related Services'




3. Then select 'Configuration Manager Remote Control'




4. The ‘State’ column will display as ‘Stopped’ if not running. Right click on the selection and select ‘Set Auto Startup’. Right click again and select ‘Start Service’.

You should be able to remote connect after this.
