Your iPhone/iPad is set up and supported by the Trust’s in-house ICT Department.
To ensure users do not have to follow multiple paths all faults, queries and issues are still logged via the MTW IT Helpdesk Portal: https://servicedesk.mtw.nhs.uk
Once logged the calls are triaged by the Service Desk Team and deployed into the Trust’s ICT Queue.
Please follow the steps below to set up NHSMail. You are connected to the Trust’s WiFi and should have no problems receiving emails.
Please remember: Each time you change your NHSMail Password on a PC/Laptop you will need to update this on your phone too.
LOST
Should you loose your phone, please contact the IT Service desk on 01982 635999 or log a portal call on https://servicedesk.mtw.nhs.uk/ ASAP so we can stop it being misused.
If you should lose the iPhone while outside office hours (8-6 Mon-Fri) Please contact the NHSmail helpdesk on 0333 200 113, so the email can be disabled and the phone wiped and then log a portal call on https://servicedesk.mtw.nhs.uk/ for us to complete the disablement.
PLEASE READ BEFORE SETTING UP NHSMAIL:
Devices connecting to NHSMail must adhere to the NHSMail Mobile Device policy which is automatically applied:
- A password is required to unlock the device
- The inactivity timeout should be set to 1 minute. After this time, or if the device goes into standby mode, the password has to be entered to unlock the device
- If an incorrect password is entered eight times in succession, the phone will be automatically wiped of ALL data and restored to its default factory settings
- The maximum message size is 500KB. You can receive messages over this size in your NHSmail mailbox but not on your phone
- You are required to change the device password every 90 days
- Encryption at rest will be enabled on devices with the built-in capability to support it.
Please note: encryption at rest on the iPhone 3GS / 4 is built-in and already enabled by default with no ability to turn it off. This means data is already encrypted on the phone and can only be read after the phone is unlocked by the user, preventing access should it fall into the wrong hands.
