Now available: NHSmail self-service password reset  

Dear Primary / Local Administrator,

We are pleased to announce that NHSmail has introduced an enhanced self-service password reset feature that enables users to reset their password at any time, without contacting their Local Administrator or the NHSmail Helpdesk.

What do Local Administrators need to do?

To take advantage of self-service password reset, and reduce workloads on help desks, Local Administrators will need to inform users in their organisation. 

Users will need to have a valid authentication method set up to use self-service password reset i.e., the Microsoft Authenticator App, a mobile phone text message or mobile phone call. 

Please note that users who have Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) set up on their account can use self-service password reset with no further action needed.

How to access self-service password reset

This service can be accessed via the NHSmail portal by clicking the self-service password reset portal link on the login screen as shown below:
